FREE FAMILY* FISHING EVENT
Saturday, June 8
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The DNR has declared Saturday, June 8 a “Free” (no license required) Fishing Day. So to celebrate, we’re opening up our lakeside pavilion and dock on Seymour Lake and inviting families from our community to join us any time between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for lunch and a little fishing. We’ll have poles, life jackets, worms, and boats with captains ready to take your kids or grandkids out on the lake and be serving hotdogs and chips for lunch.
What’s the cost of admission, you ask? $0.00 (Since the DNR isn’t going to charge you, we won’t either.) However, please pre-register all the kids you plan to bring on the form below to help us plan. You’ll have to sign a photo release too, but you’ll be able to do that when you arrive.
Then there is just one other catch. It will be a “Catch & Release” event. That means the kids will have to put their fish back into the lake after they reel them in, so please prepare them for this in advance, so they won’t be surprised and disappointed that day.
